Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless.

Sunday mornings are always the best. It just it, I hv no idea why. =)

Yesterday was my first time at the student-APT hair saloon. Rm5 for wash-cut-blow. Dirt cheap. I'll probably go back for my future hair cuts. I know many girls wouldn't risk their hair with the students, but I personally think that nothing much could go wrong with long hair cut. Unless the student chops off yr bangs really short! *Gasp* Plus, I am kinda reluctant to spend much on my hair actually, rather spend my money on food. Yum. Anyway, half the time, my hair was cut by the "sifu", coz the student wasn't sure. It turns out fine, and I saved plenty of money, so it's all good. ;)

There's this thing that Dr Ram mentioned a couple of days back, that probably has kept me thinking. Well, I didn't actively think it over, but today, I suddenly feel that I have an answer.

Its like this. Dr Ram said that being rich doesn't make u happy, and being poor doesn't mean you're sad. Well, this is sth we often hear. I debated with him saying that you can't possibly be very happy if you have to worry about yr next meal every moment, walk under the searing sun and fight with yr spouse due to yr financial crisis. Money, it gives you security. It gives you comfort. It buys you anything you want. (I even mentioned that it could buy friends; well that's stupid I know. I guess I just wanted to win the debate. LoL)

Anyway, just a couple of minutes ago, sth stroke my mind. I think you can actually be happy being rich or poor. You can be happy being successful or not. It all depends on the way you are, your character. The way you value relationships and treat the people around you determines how you're treated in return. And if you have a loving family and many caring friends around you, you can be happy.

What I'm trying to say is, wealth is relatively unrelated to happiness. But duh, if you already have a good family and plenty of friends, you'd be HAPPIER being rich than poor. I don't know about you, but I really do believe that wealth could, to a certain extent, contribute to happiness. Yes, it doesn't buy happiness, but it certainly adds on to it. If you dislike your money, feel free to give them all to me! ^^
